A mesoporous nanocrystalline titania (TiO2) with wormhole-like framework and high surface area has been prepared by the evaporation-induced self-assembly (EISA) method. Its porous structure and crystallinity were characterized by Powder X-ray diffractometry (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The materials are confirmed to have disordered porous structure comprised of nanocrystalline anatase. The effective pore diameters and surface areas of materials for calcined samples at 350 and 400 °C, evaluated from the N2-sorption isotherms, indicate that average pore diameters are about 3.0 and 4.0 nm, and surface areas are about 268 and 82 m2/g, respectively.
